Katherine graduated in Summer 2003 with a Degree in Photography from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.  

Her work has been selected for Free Range 2003 at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1, as part of the Summer Season of Graduate Art & Design exhibitions, an annual event sponsored by The Old Truman Brewery, Design Week, Creative Week and Art Review. 

‘Through a combination of interest in creating unique photographs in the darkroom and challenging the idea of how photography is perceived, the work is an exploration of mark making and abstraction.  

The images are created through an intuitive process and show the gestural movement of a light source on photographic paper, forming a highly aesthetic image. The intriguing aesthetics compel the viewer to question their perception and relationship of the photographic medium’.
