Caroline Bennett

After gaining a Certificate in Book Design at the London College of Printing, Caroline went on to take a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture at the University of East London and an HND in Ceramics. 

She describes herself as both a sculptor and a ceramicist who uses a variety of mediums including clay, bronze, concrete, plaster and resin, to create both free standing and wall mounted, figurative and abstract, sculptural pieces. Ceramic ware includes functional and abstract forms using hand-building, throwing and slip-casting techniques. 

Much of her inspiration is drawn from the time-damaged relics of classical sculpture, the natural environment, and from the juxtaposition of industrial versus nature. Her work has been exhibited nationally and she is an active member of the Ludlow Designer Makers, craft:works, the Midland Potters Association, the Visual Network and Design Gap.
